Orange skin is not the part pets should eat. It is tougher, more fibrous, and more likely to cause stomach upset than the flesh.
For dogs and cats, the peel can be hard to digest and may trigger vomiting or diarrhea. For rabbits and parrots, it also offers little value compared with safer fresh foods.
If orange is shared with pets, remove the peel completely and offer only the appropriate edible portion.
